A gentle, 5-month watercolour journey for adults who are craving calm, creativity, and time to themselves.

This is not about producing perfect paintings.
It’s about slowing down, learning the foundations, and enjoying the process.
Over five months, we’ll meet twice a month (2-hour sessions), building confidence and skills step by step. The course gently unfolds through topics such as:
- Materials and foundations of seeing
- Brush control and water behaviour
- Botanical basics
- Florals in detail
- Compositions and backgrounds
This course is for you if you love botanicals, enjoy learning at an unhurried pace, and want creative time that feels restorative rather than demanding.

JUST A FEW T'S & C'S...
- This course consists of 10 x 2-hour classes over 5 months.
- The full course fee is R2500, payable upfront to secure your place.
- Course fees are non-refundable and may not be reduced for missed classes.
- One make-up class may be offered if a session is missed, arranged on a case-by-case basis and subject to availability.
- 24 hours’ notice is required if you are unable to attend a scheduled class.
- Students are required to bring their own art supplies. Beginner supply bundles are available via the online shop.

This course was so fantastic. I started with not knowing anything with just an interest in water colour. After 5 months we ended with drawing and painting our final piece which even surprised me! I have learnt so much from the basics with a lovely foundation and most importantly my confidence that has grown to be able to paint an A4 and A5 Lemon tree collage with the guidance of Caron. It has been such a wonderful journey and im excited for another challenge! Thank you for sharing and developing this course for beginners. It was really the perfect gift to myself.
Caron’s classes are just amazing! So perfect in every way - the structure of the class is excellent, her instruction and guidance is brilliant and the time sketching, creating and improving at every step is relaxing and rewarding. Caron is so patient and encouraging and she lets each person develop at their own pace and in their own style.
I can't rate this course high enough. Caron is very skilled in art technique and was a natural at gently guiding each of us at our own pace. I had experience at other mediums but hadn't managed to crack water colours until I did this course. I'm thrilled with my skill growth and will be joining the next level course with Flourish.
